Grant’s Orange Salad

Week 8 Grant shared an American Classic, Orange Salad! Gelatin and Dessert Salads have been household staples and potluck pleasers since the 1940’s, and their popularity isn’t fading any time soon! This light and fluffy Holiday favorite can be whipped up in minutes and is sure to be a crowd pleaser! Creamy and sweet, this dish serves as both salad AND dessert – how can you beat that?! Thank you, Grant, for sharing your delicious recipe with us! 

Ingredients & Supplies

12 oz tub of Cool Whip

1 package Orange Jello

24 oz tub Cottage Cheese

1 can Mandarin Oranges

1 can Pineapple Tidbits 


Large Bowl & spoon


Scoop the entire 12 oz tub of Cool Whip out into your large bowl. Dump in the entire Orange Jello packet and stir together until fully blended. 

Tip: spread your Cool Whip over the bottom of your bowl and sprinkle the Jello overtop. Let sit for a minute to dissolve and then stirring is easy!

Dump in entire 24 oz tub of cottage cheese and stir until fully combined. 

Tip: Try different flavors of Jello to create a unique flavor twist! One of Grant’s other favorites is Lime Jello!

Drain pineapple tidbits and mandarin oranges in strainer before adding to salad. Stir until fully combined. 

Tip: Mix and match your fruits! These are Grant’s favorites but you can add other canned fruits that you love too!

Place in fridge to cool before enjoying or skip right to enjoying! 

Tip: Store in an airtight container in fridge for longest last.
