We LOVE our volunteers: Meet Zoe!

April is #VolunteerAppreciationMonth and we will be featuring our most dedicated #KindnessWarriors all month long! Next up is our 2019 Youth Volunteer of the Year, Zoe!!
Zoe Neff has been volunteering with the Boogie Down Crew and other DSL social events since with me since she was 15, and has formed a special bond with many of our members. Her high school bestie, Austin, happens to have an extra chromosome and when seeing them together you’d think they are siblings the way that they banter back and forth. A bit shy by nature, Zoe is able to comfort, understand and socialize with our members who aren’t as outgoing as others. We have seen a real growth in social skills with many of our members with Zoe’s help. For example, just this month one of the new dancers of the Boogie Down Crew was too nervous to get up and perform with the team and Zoe hopped up and did all of the choreography with her so she wouldn’t be scared. She is extremely dedicated to Down Syndrome of Louisville and has a true love for our population. We look forward to seeing how she changes the world for the better.
Thank you, Zoe. #grateful#KindessWarrior#ThankYou#CompassionCity#LouisvilleLove
